Reverie Skies came about from a tutorial video I created for a smaller painting for which I tried to use a color combo that I wouldn't ordinarily choose. I loved the result so much that I knew I had to create a larger version. At the same time that I was working on the tutorial video, I was trying to come up with a business name for my design services company. I stumbled upon the word "reverie" meaning a state of being lost in your own thoughts; a daydream. I loved the word and the meaning. I decided to use it in the business name, and Stylized Reverie was born. After I completed this painting, I felt that it reminded me of a beautiful blue cloudy sky with soft pops of color. It took me back to times in my childhood of laying in the warm sun while being mesmerized by the cloudy blue sky, daydreaming and soaking in the feeling that life is good.
